Welcome to my Studio! I'm Maria, a Mexican Fashion Designer and Developer with a Business and Market approach.
Before setting up Born® Studio, I started developing garments co-founding a Company specialized in Costume Design for opera, theatre, dance and film while I studied my Bachelor Degree.
I've taught fashion at University ITESO in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and could understand fashion from a different but nurturing perspective.
I've been working for +8 years in the industry. I strongly believe creating and developing products is an art. Bringing someone's vision, passion, wishes and goals to life through fashion and garments can definitely have a huge impact on many people's lives. I believe in long-last relationships and in the power of a good leadership.
I've worked with sustainable factories in Europe (more recently also in China) and have worked from design & development to production with sustainable (small & medium) indie brands in Europe and USA.
Now I work with a variety of brands (mainly streetwear and loungewear) helping to bring their visions to life.
